Larry Arthur Spencer Jr., age 53, passed away peacefully at his home in Albuquerque, New Mexico on January 24, 2026. He was born on November 17, 1972.
Larry is survived by his loving daughters, Acelia Spencer, Tiarra Spencer, and Trinity Spencer. He was a proud grandfather to Sophia Coffelt, Ella Coffelt, Jimmie Coffelt III, and Amelia Coffelt, all of whom brought him immense joy and pride. He is also survived by his sisters, Melissa Spencer Feehan and Mindy, as well as his bonus mom, Michele Spencer Davis.
He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Spencer Sr., his mother, Linda, his brother, Bobby, and several uncles, all of whom he is now reunited with.
Larry will be remembered as a kind, giving man with a big heart and incredible strength. He was a true fighter in every sense of the word. In 2007, he survived a devastating house fire, enduring third-degree burns over more than 80 percent of his body. Despite this, he showed remarkable resilience and courage, inspiring everyone around him.
He had a deep love for his dogs, Luna and Rhea, and cherished the time he spent with them. More than anything, Larry loved his family. He was incredibly proud of his daughters and grandchildren and made it a point to stay connected—calling daily to check in, offer support, and remind them how much he loved them.
He will be deeply missed, especially for his constant presence, his encouraging words, and the love he gave so freely.
In accordance with his wishes, no formal funeral services will be held. Larry was cremated, and his ashes are in the care of his daughter, Acelia Spencer, who will honor his request to have them spread alongside her grandfather’s.
Larry’s strength, love, and memory will live on in all who knew and loved him.
