It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Shane Bobby Johnston, who entered eternal rest on January 3, 2026.
Born in Casper, Wyoming, on October 10, 1975, to his mother, Frances, and father, Bobby, Shane was his heart . He grew to be a dedicated businessman, a devoted son, a loving husband, and a father. Shane carried with him the wisdom and character instilled in him by his father, Bobby Johnston to work hard and dream, and Robert E. Smith from whom he learned the values of humility, kindness, honesty, and true love. His uncles, Norman Platt and Marshall R. Sausedo, Jr, taught him the best of each of them. His Aunt Linda took him as her own. Everyone loved him! He lite up a room with his smile.

Shane leaves behind his daughter, Alexis Montoya, whom he loved dearly. He married Shawna in 2005, becoming a devoted stepfather Kayla, Kaci, Brian, and James, whom he raised as his own.
Shane’s wish is for us to celebrate his life and share time together remembering him. There will be a small service for close friends and family in Farmington, New Mexico, to honor his memory.
